Одна печатающая голова KM-1024 по ширине печати перекрывает две печатающие головы KM-512.
Как и 512-я голова, 1024-я голова реализуется в трех видах размера капли. Но размер капель у KM-1024 несколько различаются:

* M (Medium) ― 14 пкл.
* S (Small) ― 6 пкл.
Также все эти варианты печатающих голов идут для УФ-чернил (с нагревателем) и для Сольвентных и Маслянных чернил (без нагревателя):
* H (Heater) ― с нагревателем
* N (No Heater) ― без нагревателя.
Все печатающие головы KM-1024 (как и KM512), могут работать как в режиме постоянного размера капли (binary), так и в режиме переменного размера капли (greyscale). С возможностью вариаций до 7 капель.
Печатающая головка Konica KM 1024 предназначена для ширины печати 72 мм, что позволяет реализовать высокоскоростную печать. У этой головки количество сопел в 2 раза выше чем у KM512, это нужно для обеспечения высокой плотности печати при таком размере головы. Это способствует разширению их области применения, например, однопроходные струйные принтеры, требующие очень высокой производительности.
Данные головки имеют интелектуальную систему впрыска, основанную на переменном размере сопла с помощью пьезоэлемента. Пьеза управляется более низким напряжением чем в предыдущих моделях голов. В сочетании с новым экономичным приводом это решение является одним из самых экологичных на рынке.
Благодаря новой системе управления данная печатная голова может печатать до 8 градаций серого. Что способствует более плавному переходу между цветами и более точному подбору тонов.

The Konica Minolta KM1024 MN print head is a robust, shear mode, piezo on-demand print head that is usable in both binary and 8 level greyscale mode, providing variable drop size and higher print quality without the use of additional print heads. The Konica Minolta KM1024 MN print head is a vast improvement over the KM512 print head series, offering twice the print width and double the level of greyscale. Konica Minolta piezo on-demand inkjet heads are driven using lower voltages than other inkjet heads and the new actuator used in the KM1024 reduces power consumption even further. The Konica Minolta KM1024 MN print head has 1024 nozzles with a droplet size of 14 pico litre and a native resolution of 360 dpi. The print head is compatible with oil based and solvent inks. This print head is also known as the Konica Minolta KM1024 MNB. This is Konica original print head and it includes the Head ID and the necessary waveform information. It carries a product warranty.

Major improvement in productivity by use of 1024 multi-nozzles and realization of wide print width of 72mm
The unit is equipped with twice the number of nozzles mounted on the KM512 printhead, enabling the high density required to realize the 72mm print width.
This increased width further enhances applicability to printing systems (e.g. Single-pass inkjet printers) that demand high productivity.
Printhead power consumption is reduced by 50% through the use of a new, high efficiency piezo actuator.
Konica Minolta piezo on-demand inkjet heads are already driven using lower voltages than other inkjet heads and the new actuator used in the KM1024 reduces power consumption even further. This makes the printhead ideally suited to "green" design and shows Konica Minolta’s ongoing consideration for the environment.
Increased grey-scale levels produce richer tones and more subtle gradients making the printhead even more attractive to existing and new print applications.
Equipped with a new control IC, the KM1024 printhead can print up to a maximum of 8 drop sizes. This allows even greater control of the printed image resulting in smoother colour gradients and more precisely matched tones.
The ultra-slim, space saving printhead shape improves print quality and allows more compact machine design.
The KM1024 printheads can be mounted very closely together minimising out of alignment errors in the transport or traverse system. This improves print registration resulting in consistently higher quality print. As multiple printheads can be mounted in a smaller space it is often possible to greatly reduce the length of the print path resulting in an overall reduction in machine size.
The KM1024 is suitable for use in a diverse range of industrial printing applications.

The product also features a slimmer printhead, lighter weight (approximately 20% less than the KM512 Series) and a footprint approximately 20% smaller.
